In Math 8, students are provided with the opportunity to further their
knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to mathematics. Through out the various units, students focus on developing problem solving skills, connecting mathematics to the world around them and math literacy.
Working with numbers, portion of this year focuses further advancement on integers , fractions and proportional reasoning.
Working with patterns, students discover algebra and two variable linear relationships.
Working with shapes and space , students explore mathematical equations for 2- D and 3 - D objects , measurement of surface area and tessellation's.
Working with statistics , students explore data analysis and solve probability problems with independent variables.
